NAGRA Media Access ELK

The NAGRA Media Access ELK embedded conditional access system offers high levels of security for two-way environments, such as IPTV, hybrid, or cable networks with always-on return paths. It brings the appropriate level of security without logistical costs inherent to smartcards. It is endorsed by independent audits and approved by the major rights holders (e.g. Studios).

NAGRA Media Access ELK scalability is demonstrated with our existing customers: from entry-level systems with less than 100 thousand subscribers to systems with many-millions.

Certified Hardware Root of Trust on Consumer Devices

NAGRA Media ACCESS ELK benefits from the NAGRA Advanced Security Certification (NASC) to protect services providers’ investments in the consumer devices by ensuring the Nagra security specifications have been correctly implemented on a set-top box.

As part of NASC, NAGRA On-Chip Security (NOCS) provides a unified and certified hardware root of trust, recognized by the industry with more than 80 million units deployed from the major silicon vendors.

Widely Integrated

NAGRA Media ACCESS ELK supports a large set of Subscriber Management Systems and Multiplexers, allowing for straightforward integration. It is integrated in a wide range of set-top boxes, and available in CI+ modules, MicroSD cards and USB dongles to enable business models beyond set-top boxes to TVs and other CE devices.

Hybrid security on hybrid networks

Nagra supports hybrid deployments (card-based & embedded) on hybrid networks. Using the same STB design, an operator can deploy Nagra Media CLK (card-based conditional access system) for the one-way part of the network and Nagra media Access ELK for the connected part of the network.

Simplifying the Headend

NAGRA Media Access ELK is available either as a standalone solution or as part of a complete integrated end-to-end solution. It has been integrated as part of the NAGRA Federated Headend which offers the tools to manage secure and operate, from a single head end, a wide range of media services across multiple devices, delivery networks and content types.
