NAGRA Federated Headend
As service providers address the need for a seamless multiscreen user experience across devices and networks, they are also looking for a fast time-to-market and full control on their cost in a market where requirements are evolving at an increasing pace.
These critical requirements have been at the center of our developments. The NAGRA Federated Headend offers the tools to manage, secure and operate, from a single head end, a wide range of media services across multiple delivery networks (broadcast, managed IP, over-the-top, mobile), devices and content types.
It has been designed to shorten the innovation cycle and to reduce the total cost of ownership through multiple cost efficiencies and the flexibility service providers require to remain competitive and ensure the long term viability of their services. It also facilitates the delivery of a consistent user experience across all devices with true convenience and improved content discovery mechanisms.
The NAGRA Federated Headend federates all server-side functionalities across devices, networks or content types and throughout the entire content lifecycle, from ingestion to consumption.

Cost control and time-to-market
In addition to federating all core functions and processes involved in the creation and management of a pay TV service across devices and networks, the NAGRA Federated Headend also provides other major advantages including a highly modular architecture to perfectly match with each deployment’s needs, a service oriented architecture (SOA) that enables quick integration with a service provider’s OSS/BSS systmes, the ability to monitor various components from a single system and more.
