OpenTV files patent counterclaims against Yahoo!

San Francisco, California, April 12, 2016 – The Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) announced today that its OpenTV, Inc. subsidiary has filed patent infringement counterclaims against Yahoo! Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The counterclaims allege that Yahoo infringes ten U.S. patents owned by OpenTV and identify several infringing products and services, including Yahoo Smart TV, Yahoo Connected TV, Yahoo TV, Yahoo interactive video advertisements, Yahoo fantasy gaming and Yahoo Screen. OpenTV’s filing also responds to a complaint for declaratory judgment filed by Yahoo on January 21, 2016.
