T-MOBILE LAUNCHES ITS MOBILE TV PILOT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC, SECURED BY NAGRAVISION

Cheseaux, October 26, 2006 - Nagravision, the world's leading independent provider of value-added content protection, today announces the launch of T-Mobile Czech Republic Mobile TV trial, in partnership with leading mobile industry players such as Motorola, Siemens, Rohde & Schwarz and Gemalto.

Partnering with T-Mobile, one of the top tier global mobile network operators is an important milestone and development for Nagravision. After the recent announcements and successful rollouts of the world-first commercial DVB-H Mobile TV services in Italy with 3 Italia and Telecom Italia TIM, this trial further extends Nagra Mobile footprint while confirming Nagravision leading role in securing the Mobile TV services of leading European network operators.

DVB-H is the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) standard for Mobile TV broadcasting to mobile phones and portable players. The technology, designed for reception on low-powered devices, uses the DVB terrestrial spectrum. Italy was the first country in the world to deploy commercially Mobile TV services over DVB-H, with the launches of 3 Italia Tua TV service and Telecom Italia’s TIM TV, both secured by Nagra Mobile service protection solutions. The next wave of commercial rollouts is set to begin in 2007 with an expected mass market adoption starting in 2008.
